What is Wealthy Affiliate (WA)?

WA is a platform and online community whose mission is to help affiliate marketers and internet entrepreneurs, therefore if you want to learn to make money online, then they are more than capable of teaching you. Let me just pause here and give a disclaimer: here at HappyDowns, we are well aware that family caregivers have absolutely no time to waste. Thus, this review will be honest and to the point.

Caregiving is costly and thus, caregivers need to find ways to make extra income. We at HappyDowns recommend Wealthy Affiliate if you are interested in learning how to make money blogging…meaning you create your own website and make money from this website. You make money from blogging mostly via two ways: affiliate marketing and selling your own digital products (e.g. an e-book). Wealthy Affiliate will teach you all you need to know about creating your blog and making money from it. In their own words, the process is as follows:

The process is simple but it takes a lot of hard word. Please note this is not a get-rich-quick scheme and Wealthy Affiliate does not promise you riches overnight. What they do promise is if you:

1. do the training,
2. put into practice what you have been taught (do it!),
3. ask questions when you’re in doubt (the WA community is made up of thousands of people who are willing to help and can almost be found online at any time of the day),

then you will slowly, but surely, build your online business.

So, with that disclaimer out of the way, let’s take a look at how WA helps you to make money online.

The Training

I am talking 1000s of hours of training in written and video form. I must insist that you start off with the Online Entrepreneur Certification. There are 5 levels to this training:

• Level 4 – Mastering Social Engagement
• Level 5 – Achieving Maximum Success Through Content Creation

These trainings are regularly updated to ensure that you are being taught the most current information. You just need to take your time and go through the material and apply what you have learnt. You will be surprised at the website that you create.

On top of this, there are classes that you can attend…live classes (but no worries, you can catch the replay later). If you are interested in learning about copy writing, there are classes for that. There are classes on how to sell your own products on your website, how to choose the right niche, how to research keywords (SEO stuff), how to do video creation and editing, how to hire writers for your blog, monetization strategies for your website, email marketing, and the list goes on. I doubt that there is a topic that you want to learn that you cannot find on WA.

The Community

Then there’s the community. Ever done a class or training exercise and then find yourself having questions a couple days later? That’s not an issue at WA. Just log in and use the “Ask Live” feature. Community members are standing by to answer your query.

Or you can just search for you particular query and you will find hundreds of tutorials that explain, step by step, the topics that you might be struggling with.

I think it is safe to say that when it comes to information, WA is not short on that. A matter of fact, you might find all this information overwhelming at first. Just take things at a pace that you are comfortable with and you will get through it.

This is why, as a beginner, WA is perfect for you! They do their best to explain things on a level that you can understand and the community is there for the moments when you are just not sure of what you are doing. I cannot stress the community enough. Please understand that you are not always going to have the desire to work on your blog, sometimes you will have writer’s block, but if you engage the people in the community, they will do their best to walk you through the difficulty that you are having.

Other Features

Wealthy Affiliate does a great job of hosting your website (your website loads quickly and looks great on every device, mobile included). They offer many website themes that you can choose from and Voilà! your website looks like a professional built it. You do not need a degree in computer science, coding or design to have a fabulous website.

Their research tool, Jaaxy, is great! When you create a website, you have an audience in mind that you are speaking to through your blog. This audience will be searching for particular things when they are on the internet. If you are able to write content for your blog that contains the exact words that your audience is searching for, then your audience will see your blog posts come up in their search results, click on your blog post and visit your blog.

This is how you build traffic for your website and increase the number of visitors to your blog. The more visitors you have, the more money you can make. When you enter search words in Jaaxy, this tool lets you know how many persons, on average, search for this term, how many other websites out there already have this term (this will be your competition) and how much traffic you can expect because of this search term. Needless to say, this is an invaluable tool for any website creator/blogger.

I have just touched the tip of the iceberg in terms of what Wealthy Affiliate has to offer, but as I said before, I know you do not have the time to be reading a thesis.
